2 Corinthians 1:10

2 Corinthians 1:10 says, "He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us."

I can say personally that God has, indeed, delivered me from deadly peril in the past. More than once, in fact. Sometimes it seems that when particular "perils" run through my mind, I need to be delivered from them again. But because He has brought me this far, I can hold onto hope that he will continue the work that He has begun. 2 Corinthians 2:10 is my theme these days, and I have personalized it: He has delivered me from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver me. On him I have set my hope that he will continue to deliver me.

There is an old song that goes,

He didn't bring us this far... to leave us

He didn't teach us to swim... to let us drown

He didn't build His home in us... to move away

He didn't lift us up... to let us down

We are never without hope. He holds us in His hands.

Very encouraging Word. Thank you..You are right He does not lift us up to let us down. He is always faithful to be there for us no matter what. He has proved that to me over and over again. Thank you Jesus!!

I just stopped by to say thanks for visiting Consecrated to Him and thanks for the comment. Hope to hear from you again soon. Blessings to you and your family..

Oh, my! I remember that song from back in the late 70's! I loved it then!!! Hi from South Dakota. We live about 4 hours by car south of Manitoba (8 hours from Winnipeg). Have been to Canada several times, but never Winnipeg. Have you ever been to a Dave Hunt sponsored prophesy conference? We went to one last year in Fargo and loved it, bought the DVD's.

I, too, have 2 boys. 21 and 19!

Thanks for visiting, Civilla! Wow - you are only the second person I have met who has heard that song! I have not been to a Dave Hunt conference. His name is not familiar to me, to be honest. God bless you!

The verse that came to mind as I read your blog was, "He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of CHRIST JESUS." Philpipians 1:6

This is very very encouraging indeed. Thank you sista!!!!
